Transport Planning Day 2022 is fast approaching with the theme for this year being future proofing transport. After 2 years of managing the pandemic, we now need to start looking forward to see how we can make sure our transport systems are ready for the challenges which lie ahead. 

The outline for the day including speaker announcements are below:

Session one - Keynote Speech and State of the Nations Refresh - 15:00-16:00

Hosting both sessions will be Chair of the Transport Planning Society, Mark Frost.

Speakers

·       Keynote: Martin Tugwell, Chief Executive for Transport for the North

·       Professor Stephen Joseph, Professor at the University of Hertfordshire and Transport Policy Consultant

·       Nicola Kane, Head of Strategic Planning, Insight and Innovation at Transport for Greater Manchester and future Director for Steer

The first session will begin with a keynote speech from Martin Tugwell, Chief Executive for Transport for the North. Then Professor Stephen Joseph will launch a refresh of our State of the Nations Report which will be followed by a speech from our platinum sponsor Steer. The session will end on a Q&A where the audience may ask our speakers any questions they may have.

After this session there will be a 40 minute break for refreshments.

Session Two - An Intergenerational Panel Discussion on Future Proofing Transport - 16:40-17:40

For the second session of TP Day, Mark Frost will chair an intergenerational panel discussion on our theme of future proofing transport. Speakers on this panel include:

After this session all guests will be invited to stay for drinks and networking until 19:30.
