Transport Planning Professional (TPP) Qualification

The TPS want to support your professional development. Whether you are new to the industry or an experienced professional, there are pathways to a professional qualification available through the Society. This is either through the Transport Planning Professional route or the Professional Development Scheme.

The TPP is jointly run by TPS and CIHT and provides unique recognition of specific transport planning skills. To be awarded the TPP you need to demonstrate that you have the knowledge that underlies your skill as a professional transport planner, and a good depth and breadth of expertise based on experience, as well as the ability to work with and manage others, and to manage and present your work.

There are different pathways to achieve this qualification depending on your skills and experience. Although the pilot scheme is now closed, if you choose to work with TPS NZ initial assessments are still being made through the TPS. NZ candidates will need to provide information to the TPS UK for them to assess the appropriate pathways for you.

It’s not too early or too late in your career to consider membership! If you would like further information on the TPP, please e-mail newzealand@tps.org.uk.
