The 7th PTRC Transport Practitioners Meeting (TPM) held in Reading in July 2009 attracted over 300 transport planners, engineers and urban transport designers from the UK and Ireland.

The 8th TPM, which moves to the University of York, has again encouraged, through the Call for Papers, an extremely varied programme of presentations of key interest to all transport practitioners.

TPM 2010 focuses on attracting outstanding keynote speakers on issues of national policy importance and multi streamed sessions, which will demonstrate how key policy instruments are turned into practical projects. The timetable is structured to offer delegates maximum opportunity to network with additional activities such as technical visits, drinks receptions and a conference dinner.

• the TPS 2010 Transport Planner of the Year
• the Best Paper at the Conference by a Young Professional.
