Call for Nominations: Transport for New Homes Award

TPS is delighted to launch a new award in partnership with Transport for New Homes. As part of Transport Planning Day 2019, we have launched the inaugural Transport for New Homes Award.

The Transport for New Homes Award will showcase recent housing developments which promote walking, cycling and public transport and avoid dependence on cars. Could you nominate a recent housing development for it?

Members of the public, professionals and developers are invited to nominate recent, UK developments of more than 500 homes (the majority of which are occupied) for the award.

The awards helps to highlight the important role of transport planners in tackling our housing and climate crisis. Proper planning means residents can move in to a new home and be well connected to shops, jobs and services without the need for a car – good for our health, the environment and for the cost of living. So this Transport Planning Day we’re putting the spotlight on best practice planning for new homes.

Nominations close on 26 August and we will announce the winner on Transport Planning Day 2019 on 20 November.
