Transport for New Homes Award 2019

Showcasing the vital transport planning that goes into building successful and sustainable communities.

The Transport for New Homes Award 2019 aims to recognise recent housing developments which enable and promote walking, cycling and public transport and avoid dependence on cars.

With national and local governments across the country concentrating on delivering new housing, it's important to highlight the role transport planning plays in building successful and sustainable communities.

Proper planning means residents can move in to a new home and find themselves well connected to shops, jobs and services without the need for a car – good for our health, the environment and for the cost of living.

Transport for New Homes are running the award with the Transport Planning Society for Transport Planning Day 2019.

Winners announced on Transport Planning Day 2019

The deadline is 26 August.

  • Nominations are open to all. Members of the public, professionals and developers are all invited to nominate developments.
