Buses are the backbone of our public transport system and already one of the greenest ways to travel.
This free event, organised by Campaign for Better Transport in partnership with Transport for London will examine how we can accelerate the roll-out of zero emissions buses across England in order to drive further improvements, in line with the objectives of the Government’s National Bus Strategy and Transport Decarbonisation Plan.
One of the last events to take place in the current London City Hall building, the summit will be hosted by the Mayor of London and also streamed online.
The summit will bring together representatives from central and local government, bus operators, manufacturers and wider stakeholders to discuss how we can all cooperate in bringing transformational change faster to our towns, cities and rural areas.
It will include keynote addresses, presentations and a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities that different areas are facing in the transition to zero emission buses. There will be an opportunity to network, ask questions and share your experiences with other attendees.
