Grassroots and community solutions to TRSE

Join the TPS for this in-depth look at the role grassroots, community and campaign organisations have in combatting Transport-Related Social Exclusion (TRSE) in the UK.

We will hear from Victoria Armstrong at the Community Transport Association, speaking on how the association operates and why community transport is an important tool to alleviate TRSE.

Next, Shgufta Anwar will provide an insight into her Glasgow-based cycling organisation Women on Wheels, formed during 2022. Women on Wheels is an all-inclusive, women-led cycling group based in Govanhill, empowering women of all backgrounds and abilities to become confident cyclists.

Finally, Simon Munk, Head of Campaigns for the London Cycling Campaign will speak on his perspective of the best thing grassroots and community organisations can do for TRSE – to generate political will for change.
