Transport Planning Day Campaign

Transport Planning Day campaign, event and awards

We’re excited to launch our Transport Planning Day campaign to raise the profile of transport planning and its role in changing people’s lives. The aim is to engage communities on the role of transport planners in delivering quality places for people.

The people’s award

At the heart of our campaign is an award for a transport planning project that has had a positive impact on people’s lives.

For the first time in the UK local communities will take centre stage in telling the professionals how transport planning has had a positive impact on their communities.

Local people know which schemes have made things better for their communities. That’s why our awards will showcase what makes a good scheme from the community’s point of view.

The awards will also highlight the people behind the projects, and feature positive role models to inspire more young people to choose  transport planning as a career. Read our press release here

The awards are open for entries until 3 August 2018. For more information about the awards and how to nominate, read our guidelines on how to enter

Transport Planning Day event

Transport Planning Day will be held on 13 November at the Institution of Civil Engineers in London. For more information go to our Events page.  The day is a fantastic opportunity for the community to engage with transport planning and to celebrate the positive impact it can have on people’s lives, as well as the diversity of our profession.  The event will showcase the finalists of our People’s Award and announce the winner.
