Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship

Leeds College of Building works with employers across the UK to deliver the Level 3 Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship. It is a level 3 qualification delivered by block release. On successful completion of the apprenticeship and the end point assessment, the apprentice will have satisfied the requirements for registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech).

Transport Planning Degree Apprenticeship

In 2019 the first ever degree apprenticeship for Transport Planners in England was approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education.  The first students started in September 2019.

TPS has been instrumental in its development, which is compatible the PDS and can be completed at the same time.  The Level 6 Transport Planner degree apprenticeship opens up a new route into the profession that combines academic education with practical experience.

This is an important part of completing the transport planning skills and qualifications landscape and will work in close support of other skills initiatives.  It is entirely in tune with both the TPS PDS and the Transport Planning Professional (TPP) qualification and offers an exciting new route into the profession.

However, for some of these approval is subject to the choice of specific options.  For the latest information, candidates should access the TPP website:
