Transport Scotland is seeking a number of chartered Transport Planners to join us as we start an exciting period of transition. With the completion of a number of major infrastructure projects and a greater emphasis on the promotion of air quality, active travel, accessibility, and the development of the low carbon economy, our challenge is to make sure that we have an organisation that is structured and operates as efficiently, flexibly, and creatively as possible. These posts are part of that transformation.Underpinning our transition is the development of a new National Transport Strategy covering Scotland’s transport needs and priorities for the next 20 years.

The salary range for Senior Transport Planners is from £36,328-£43,923 (pro rata for part time). The roles also currently attract an annual pay supplement of £4,500 (pro rata for part time). Supplements are subject to regular review. Consideration is currently being given to the future arrangements relating to pay supplements.
