Job Description
Working in Strategic Transport you will be involved in a wide range of transport planning activities. Your primary role will be to assess the potential transport implications of major residential and commercial developments, promoting appropriate transport schemes, and negotiating appropriate funding. You will also help to develop local and strategic transport policy.
The workload will be flexible and reactive, but will principally involve providing highway and transport advice on planning applications, exploring the suitability of transport analytical evidence and shaping the design of transport schemes.
The role will include engagement with a range of stakeholders and partners throughout and you will therefore need to have excellent communication skills (including report writing skills), and be able demonstrate the enthusiasm and commitment to help solve transport challenges.
