Insight & Research Officer

Job Description

Your role

As a Research & Insight Officer within our Insight team, you will focus on applying your research skills to integrate customer perspectives into transport improvements in Greater Manchester.  As an experienced research professional, you will be able to plan and manage projects all the way from concept to completion.   Are you interested in working client-side on a wide variety of in-house and outsourced quantitative and qualitative research initiatives? If so, this could be the opportunity for you! 

You will be working for a progressive organisation committed to developing our insight capability to support delivery of Greater Manchester’s 2040 Transport Strategy and shape future sustainable transport provision.  You will create and deliver a series of research projects, often summarising information from a wide range of sources to prepare clear, concise and engaging reports and presentations and ultimately to generate insight that helps shape change.

What you’ll bring

You will have a proven track record in the formulation and execution of qualitative and quantitative analysis projects, including use of statistical and survey software. Educated to degree level, ideally in a social science, or with equivalent experience, you will be able to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences, aided by excellent listening skills.

This is a permanent role offering a salary of £39,360 to £43,817 per annum depending on experience. In addition, we offer excellent benefits, including:
