Are you seeking an opportunity to be part of the team delivering the Bee Network, Greater Manchester’s vision for a fully integrated transport system which will join together buses, trams, cycling, walking and rail? Are you passionate about applying your evaluation and research skills to support an evidence-led approach to developing sustainable transport improvements in Greater Manchester?
Your role
As Evaluation Officer within our Insight team, you will focus on designing, developing, monitoring and managing the evaluation of active travel and sustainable transport schemes to measure the effectiveness the schemes have on the lives of people across Greater Manchester. You will be working in a progressive organisation committed to taking an insight-led approach to delivering the Greater Manchester Transport Strategy 2040, and shaping future sustainable transport provision.
What you’ll bring
You will have a proven track record in the formulation and execution of qualitative and quantitative research projects, with experience in managing and delivering the evaluation of programmes. You will have the ability to see the bigger picture, and objectively evaluate options which may be both complex and technical. Ideally, you will have a broad knowledge of sustainable transport systems.
You will be able to communicate effectively and influence a variety of audiences using your excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in sustainable transport or health research, strategy or policy development work would also be desirable.
