Sales & Business Development Manager

Job Description

Our group affiliated organization DB Systel UK is looking for a Sales & Business Development expert (f/m/d) in the United Kingdom. You would work very closely with us at ioki to consult us on our market strategy for the UK.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Developing the market strategy - to successfully support the growth of ioki’s business in the UK 
  • Implementing the UK market strategy - from establishing strategic partnerships to discussing specific product needs and consult  ioki’s product department in Frankfurt am Main, Germany 
  • Creating structured processes to facilitate the transition from a start-up to a scale-up company - Development of sales and pricing strategies and transfer to operational sales work 
  • Evaluating and prioritizing sales potentials and independent acquisition of new customers – preparing and drafting contracts (e.g., tender, cooperation, and service contracts) with special emphasis on the processing of UK tenders 
  • Close cooperation with all internal departments (sales support, product development, marketing, key account management, etc.) for order implementation and proactive customer management ultimately handing over to the Project Management/Key Account Team 
  • Advising ioki’s customers on mobility analysis, on-demand transport (Demand responsive transport (DRT)) and autonomous mobility by striving to understand the needs of decision makers, operators and end users 
  • Representing ioki at trade fairs, conferences and customer meetings creating brand awareness across the UK 

 

Your Profile 

  • You are enthusiastic about new mobility services and want to shape the mobility landscape in the UK  
  • You have a university degree or a comparable professional qualification and 5+ years professional experience in sales and business development 
  • Ideally having experience in tender business 
  • You have gained market knowledge in the field of public transport / (on-demand) mobility – ideally you have already built up a network in the (public) mobility industry in the UK 
  • You enjoy working strategically and operationally, you are open minded, inclusive, a team player and enjoy discovering new topics 
  • You are communicative and enjoy building relationships, you like to take initiative and ownership and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others 
  • You possess strong analytical skills, the ability to think in abstract terms and problem-solving competence, you are not afraid to work things out from scratch and independently bring things into motion 
  • You have an independent, goal- and result-oriented way of working and have a high demand concerning the quality of your work 
  • You are flexible and enjoy traveling 
  • Proficient in English
