We currently have an opportunity for a Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner to join our busy and growing Scottish Transport Planning team, based in our Glasgow office. The role would suit a transport planning with around 5 years of experience who is keen to develop and grow within an expanding team. At WSP, our client focus, and results driven approach means that we benefit from significant repeat business and are looking to strengthen the team to deliver an increasing workload. The Team undertakes a variety of transport planning support for clients throughout Scotland, including Local Authorities, Transport Scotland and the private sector. The Scotland team sits in the wider north-east regions which brings the opportunity to work on cross-region projects with colleagues in our Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool offices as well as wider UK offices. More locally, we work closely with our Highways, Structures and Environmental teams on larger multi-disciplinary projects and cross region on a mix of projects from major transport scheme appraisal to active travel design and our future mobility programme.

We are seeking a Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner to be based out of our Glasgow office:
The Transport team within WSP works with a wide range of local authority and private clients from across the UK. We deliver a wide range of projects including on & off-shore wind farm studies, transport contributions to Environmental Impact Assessments, bus corridor studies, transport appraisals, traffic engineering, active travel scheme development, stakeholder management, development management and development planning. The role is flexible in that we are seeking individuals with differing expertise to complement our existing team. Our portfolio of projects offers candidates variety in project work or more focused contributing to our well established expertise practice groups, where like-minded individuals can share knowledge and grow. The role would suit an ambitious individual looking for a new opportunity within which support, and training would be provided. At WSP we work flexibly between home and office, tailored to suit individuals circumstances. Our Glasgow Office is located in the heart of the City on Queen Street, with excellent transport links, shops and café’s on our doorstep.
We have a strong track record working closely with our clients and this role provides a great opportunity to play a role within the Transport Team as we realise our growth ambitions.
