Principal Transport Modeller

Job Description

As a Principal Transport Modeller you will be involved with a range of transport modelling projects working in teams based across the UK and Europe. You will be working on projects for high profile clients such as TfL, TfWM, HS2 Ltd and National Highways and will have responsibility for delivering modelling work following our best practice guidelines. You will form part of a national team and be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues in our wider Integrated Transport Division.

What you will contribute to the team; 

• Leading and working on the development of strategic multi-modal modelling, public transport and highway modelling projects
• Project and task management on modelling projects to include model development, calibration, validation, demand forecasting and economic appraisal
• Checking outputs for compliance with quality requirements and industry best practice and motivate others to do so as well
• Organise, train and mentor other modelling resources in order to ensure project delivery and staff / team development
• Provide key inputs to the development of business cases and scheme assessments
• Liaising with clients and other project stakeholders
• Undertake business development activities including proposal writing and preparation.
• Working with the modelling team leader to develop team capability.
