Senior/Principal Transport Planner

Job Description

Dynamic Transport Planning (DTP) are recruiting for an experienced transport planning professional to join their team.

DTP are an independent Transport Planning Consultancy based in Durham who support development projects of all types including residential, retail, employment, leisure and roadside schemes all across the UK. DTP primarily undertake works including production of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plan, Road Safety Audits, Traffic Modelling (including Micro-Simulation), Detailed Highway Design and other works as required to discharge highways related planning conditions.

The position is for a Senior or Principal Transport Planner based in the North of the UK. The role will include regular visits to head office based on the edge of Durham City.

DTP prides itself on ensuring developments are safe, viable and sustainable. Our knowledge and impact with our clients goes beyond the basic brief of a transport report and we are looking for someone with the same values to join our team based in the Northern England.

The right candidate will possess a high level of technical transport planning ability but most importantly will relish the opportunity to have a huge impact on the growth of an independent SME. The right candidate will be able to work remotely in a productive manner and have the option to make regular trips to the Durham office.

Your technical abilities will cover all aspects of Transport Planning including but not limited to:

· Production and finalising of professional reports;

· Liaison with clients;

· High level of Transport Modelling capabilities; and

· Project Management skills.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following personal characteristics :

· Client relationship management;

· Mentoring skills; and

· Brand awareness.

The role is flexible to suit a full or part-time commencement with our emphasis being on finding the right person who will have a positive impact on our growing business. Salary dependent on experience.
