Our teams are currently delivering exciting and important policy, strategy, modelling and research projects throughout the transportation sector. We are currently recruiting talented individuals to help deliver transport planning projects for our expanding client base. With over 300 specialists in our Transport Planning business, we have the flexibility and resources to provide our clients with an extensive range of services including transport policy and strategy planning, traffic modelling, scheme appraisal, travel demand management, scheme design and development planning.

The Roles:

We are recruiting Streets and Public Realm Design Engineers for our Transport Planning business and would like to discuss this opportunity with prospective candidates. Collaborating with specialists from across our business as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll work on flagship regeneration, site expansion and development projects. Making the most of your transport planning and development skills, you’ll create streetscapes, secure developers planning approval and deliver sustainable accessible developments.

We’re a successful team with a well-balanced blend of skills to face our client needs and are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to add further value to our offer to the marketplace. You will have a demonstrable track record and solid technical capability in the Highway Design, Traffic Engineering and Public Realm field, with experience in managing project delivery; this exciting opportunity will provide you with a platform to further develop our business.

We’re seeking motivated chartered engineers to support our design capability, linking in with resourcing needs across our Practice at a national level. With offices across the UK we will consider candidates for a range of locations (but particularly Manchester, Warrington, Epsom and Croydon) and would happy to discuss this matter with prospective candidates. The Candidates:

We have exciting opportunities for Streets and Public Realm Design Engineers to join our team.

Successful applicants will be flexible, self-motivated and will be expected to demonstrate a capability in the following:

  • Strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication with strong report writing capability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and proven success in meeting deadlines.
  • Confident team worker with ability to work independently.
  • Experience of working to time and budget constraints.

 Candidates will be expected to demonstrate technical skills and competencies such as -

  • Demonstrable project and people management skills.
  • Experience in development and implementation of urban highway, transport and public realm schemes.
  • Delivery of work in line with DMRB ad MfS guidance.
  • Experience of 3D design using AutoCAD Civils 3D.
  • Experience with Projectwise.
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts.

Successful candidates will have -

  • A relevant transport planning, urban planning, engineering degree or similar.
  • A passion for transportation.
  • Ideally, membership of a relevant professional institute.
