We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Transport Planning to join us in Bristol. This is a key strategic role within our South West business as we seek an experienced Transport Professional capable of leading and growing our reputable Transport Planning team.
Our Bristol office is based in the beautiful Queen Square, at the heart of the city centre—just a short walk away from the stunning harbourside and Temple Meads train station. Our Bristol office is a truly multi-disciplinary collaborative team covering environmental, civil engineering and planning disciplines, designing with communities in mind, and having fun along the way. We are fortunate to work with excellent clients on some of the region’s most exciting projects. Our client-focused and result-driven approach means that we benefit from significant repeat business but we also have an ambitious growth strategy that you will help us achieve. Our aim is to create valued solutions for our clients, and to become indispensable to their future plans.
An important part of your role will be to work collaboratively with our national and regional teams to identify and execute our plans to grow our Transport Planning business in the South West. You will oversee a wide range of projects from larger and more complex strategic land development proposals through to smaller sites, in addition to strategic infrastructure delivery and public sector commissions. You will help drive forward our technical agenda in supporting our clients through a shift in transport and mobility planning requirements developing our capabilities and the services we provide in response to the climate emergency and pursuit of net zero carbon outcomes .

You will ideally be a Chartered Transport Planning Professional with a relevant degree.
Your market insight and reputation, collaborative approach, and creative instincts will be some of your strengths. You will have demonstrable experience in work winning and securing new business opportunities. Your network within the local market will enable you to build effective relationship and business development opportunities.
You will have a proven record of working with public sector clients and/or private sector land development related clients in the South West. You will have excellent technical knowledge, particularly in strategic planning, active travel, transport and mobility planning and development planning.
Most importantly, you will have the ambition and passion to grow our team, deliver and build upon the existing projects within our portfolio and identify new opportunities in the market.
