Additionally, you will be joining a cohesive and growing team where there is good opportunity to learn new skills to progress your career.
You will support clients by encouraging and creating safer and sustainable modes of active travel including walking and cycling. You will work on projects that match the aspirations of national, regional and local policy and in accordance with relevant design standards and best practice.
We undertake projects to create sustainable and long-term solutions while considering the needs of all to shape a people-friendly built environment.
This is a great opportunity for you to work on projects in the context of the climate emergency while considering the needs of all to shape the future built environment.

About You

You will have a HNC qualification in civil engineering or equivalent and have competency in computer aided drawing and the use of AutoCAD. A willingness to be a positive and collaborative team player with previous experience in traffic engineering and/or highway / cycle design.
You will have experience of working alongside other professionals to develop scheme designs from concept through to detail to ensure that they create successful places whilst also considering other multidisciplinary and practical aspects of the design. You will ideally have an awareness of Road design standards including experience working to both DMRB and Manual Contract for Highway Works, Designing Streets, Better by Design, Cycle by Design and other technical standards in the design of transport projects, broader public realm and transport movement corridor proposals.

Experience and knowledge of how 3D models / visualisations can inform concept / preliminary designs would also be advantageous.
