At the conference TPS will be presenting awards for the Transport Planner of the Year and for the Best Paper at the Conference by a Young Professional.

The Transport Practitioners Meeting (TPM) was launched to provide a much-needed forum for transport practitioners. Across the country it is clear that there is an increasing focus from Government and local authorities on the delivery of an agreed programme of transport schemes. TPM helps link policy and project  implementation to climate change issues, more efficient use of the existing transport network, sustainable regeneration, a better environment and increased accessibility and social inclusion.

The event is directed towards good practice and practical issues of implementation. It is multi streamed and targeted at young professionals, experienced technical staff and middle managers. The event offers a number of invaluable opportunities for networking.

The programme is designed to encourage the involvement of younger members of the profession as a way of enhancing their career development.
