13th Annual Transport Practitioners’ Meeting Held 1-2 July 2015

The 13th Annual Transport Practitioners’ Meeting was held on 1-2 July at London Metropolitan University. Over 220 transport planners, highway engineers and urban transport designers were welcomed over the course of the two-day conference where discussion, debate and valuable networking allowed attendees to take away fresh ideas for the year to come.

The TPS-sponsored drinks reception and awards ceremony took place at the London Metropolitan Great Hall, during which TPS director Nick Richardson presented two TPS awards. The Best Paper by a Young Practitioner was given to James Rhodes of JMP for his paper An investigation of the relationship between transport and health whilst examining the importance of local people to transport planning policies and procedures and Lucy Saunders of Transport for London was presented the Transport Planner of the Year award for her work on TfL's Transport Action Plan for Improving the Health of Londoners.
