TPS is pleased to announce the launch Transport Planning Day 2024.
See all the current vacancies.
Open to all those studying or working in transport planning, or related fields, on a professional basis.
With the Transport Practitioners’ Meeting (TPM) less than a month away, now is the perfect time to book your place at the annual meeting place for all transport planners, highway engineers and urban transport designers.
This year’s Call for Papers was met with an outstanding and enthusiastic response by highway, traffic and transport practitioners from both the UK and abroad. With the help of the TPS-supported TPM Committee, this large and diverse pool of quality papers and presenters was melded into a two-day programme that will cover the latest developments and emerging best practice in topics such as behavioural change methods, planning for the future, designing streets, scheme funding and delivery, modelling developments and more.
In addition to the presentation of over 90 different papers, the two-day conference will also feature morning plenary sessions presented by key players in the industry as well as hands-on workshops and plenty of time for networking.
And whilst the number of quality presentations at this year’s TPM has increased, the conference rates have not. With the conscious decision to keep rates at the same low prices as last year, including a special two for one rate for local authorities and 10 percent discount for TPS members. TPM remains an accessible and affordable conference.
TPM’s accompanying awards ceremony and dinner will take place the first night of the conference, Wednesday, 1 July in London Metropolitan University’s newly refurbished Great Hall. The evening will begin with the TPS-sponsored drinks reception which is open to all delegates, followed by the ticketed awards dinner. Six awards will be presented during the ceremony, including Transport Planner of the Year and Best Paper at the Conference by a Young Professional, both of which are sponsored by TPS.
