AECOM won the Global Consultant of the Year award, with another Stakeholder member and PDS user, Mott MacDonald, as Runners Up. Mouchel won the award for the Major UK Consultant with over 2,500 Staff, and Peter Brett Associates won the award for the UK Consultant with between over 250 and 2,500 Staff, for the second year running.

Peter Brett Associates is headed by Keith Mitchell TPP, a past Chair of the Society and still involved in the Society’s Skills activities, who commented:

We are delighted to have been presented with this prestigious award for a second year running. We were particularly pleased that the judges noted how we have outlined our corporate ethos in a booklet called the Common Thread"

– stating

“this was impressive in setting out the values and ethos of the company and helping to maintain these across the business cycles. Not only does the Common Thread discuss the values of the firm, but it also sets out our commitment to continuous learning and quality.

In this our 50th year, we will be establishing the Peter Brett Foundation to support the work we do in schools to encourage children to embrace STEM subjects and to pursue careers in the built and natural environment professions. This complements our commitment to professional development through schemes such as the TPS Professional Development Scheme and in supporting the development of apprenticeships such as the work of the Transport Trailblazer which is working towards the introduction of an apprenticeship for Transport Planning Technicians.”
