Transport Practitioners Meeting 2014: 2nd - 3rd July 2014, London – BOOK NOW

The Transport Practitioners’ Meeting is now in its 12th year and is the leading annual meeting place for highways, traffic and transport practitioners.  The conference is focussed on the latest developments for the transport industry and the multi-streamed format allows participants access to papers and workshops covering a wide range of topical issues, from transport-led growth to innovative marketing techniques for smarter choice projects, the value of time in scheme appraisal, better streets, through to links with health.

With over 60 expert speakers, more than 50 presentations, parallel workshops sessions, technical visits and a programme that has been specifically designed to optimise networking opportunities - Transport Practitioners’ Meeting is the annual conference you can’t afford to miss!  It’s very reasonably priced too, with two-for-one offers for local government practitioners, standard fees cut to suit austere training budgets and great reductions for TPS members (10% off standard fees).

TPS works closely with PTRC to select papers for the conference and this year’s call has yielded an exciting programme of over 50 presentations, ensuring that the conference has something to offer every transport practitioner, regardless of their discipline.  2013 TPS Bursary winners Dave Arquati and Emma Taylor will be presenting their papers at this conference.  If you missed the chance to see Dave Arquati’s “Bursary of the year” presentation at the AGM in February, this is an excellent opportunity to experience it first hand and ask questions.

The prestigious annual awards ceremony and dinner takes place on the evening of Wednesday, 2nd July at the Emirates Stadium, one of the world’s most breath-taking arenas.  TPS kicks off the evening with a welcome drinks reception.  This is followed by the awards ceremony, where the TPS Transport Planner of the Year Award is presented, prior to a gala three course dinner with drinks.
