The launch of a new Government Economic Strategy set out measures to stimulate Scotland’s economy and support jobs.

The current review of national planning policy provides the opportunity to ensure that the planning system supports sustainable economic growth and helps to deliver the infrastructure, homes and jobs Scotland needs.

This conference looks at how the planning system can support economic growth and deliver the infrastructure the country needs including meeting the challenges of Scotland’s renewable energy targets. It also looks at the role of planning in economic development and infrastructure provision at a local level.

Prior to it undergoing Parliamentary scrutiny the conference provides an opportunity to discuss the role of the NPF3 in delivering growth through the planning system.
