There are five successful bursarians this year on the topic of 'How can
transport best support economic growth?'. The winners and their chosen
subjects are:

No train, no gain? Valuing the economic impact of a decade of transport
investment in London's Docklands
- Dave Arquati  (Docklands Light
Railway)

"Let's Go Forward Together": Is it time for development planning
stakeholders to declare war on the recession and plan a route to
recovery as allies not enemies? The case of the transport sector
- Emma
Taylor (Integrated Transport Planning Ltd)

David vs. Goliath: Will HS2 or a number of smaller rail improvements
represent better value for money?
- Nick Gammer (Hampshire County Council)

Breaking the death-grip: can transport release the green belt's
choke-hold on economic growth?
- Scott Clyne (Arup)

Is new High-Speed rail infrastructure the best method for boosting
economic growth: Highly Supportive or Highly Suspicious?
- Murray
Stevenson (MVA)

Each of the winners will be preparing a short paper over the next few
months which they will present to the TPS Board in early 2014, following
which the 'Bursary of the Year' will be chosen and announced at the TPS
AGM in February.
