In this seminar, kindly hosted by ARUP, Robert Bain will summarise 10 years of research examining and quantifying the risks and uncertainties surrounding transport demand forecasts.

Rob is currently retained as an expert witness in two legal cases in Australia (against 'big name' consultancies for allegedly inflating traffic forecasts). Although he is unable to discuss the details of these cases, he will use examples from Australia to illustrate key points and talk about lessons learnt.
