The NRTS Project provides services across the Highways Agency’s roadside telecommunications network. GeneSYS Telecommunications Ltd. is a special purpose vehicle formed by HSBC and Fluor to manage the NRTS Project in a Public Private Partnership with the Highways Agency.

The projects aims are to upgrade, operate and maintain the communications systems that link the roadway communication devices such as emergency telephones, CCTV cameras, etc. along the motorways and other main “A” roads in England with the national traffic control centre and regional control centres.
