Over the last year, the Society has run two seminars and three workshops to assess the consequences for the profession and industry of the recession and austerity measures.

Involving nearly 50 senior transport planners from the public and private sectors, universities and training organisations, the meetings were conducted under the Chatham House Rule, helping to ensure full and frank discussion.

The findings, together with a list of action points, have been published by TPS in a report Making the Case for Transport Planning: Adapting to Change – Research Findings - (click on the link to download).

Comments on the report, in particular on the issues to be covered by the Action Plan, would be very welcome. Please contact us to make comments.
