The Society is considering the establishment of “self–help” groups of TPS members following the TPS Professional Development Scheme, PDS.  The idea is to create opportunities when staff from different employers can meet together, in a relaxed forum, and share their experiences with the PDS and the ways they, or colleagues, have addressed problems that have arisen.

The idea might be most relevant in areas where there are only a few staff, possibly only one, in an organisation’s office on the PDS, making it difficult to benefit from shared experience. However, provided there is sufficient interest, the Society will run a pilot meeting in central London, starting late one afternoon/early one evening in April or May, to test the idea and format.

If you are interested in participating in the pilot group, please contact us, giving your name, your employer and the number of years you have been on the PDS.
