The Mayor of London’s Cycling Revolution has seen significant investment in cycling in recent years in London, most notably the Barclays Cycle Superhighways and Cycle Hire scheme.  This has contributed to a significant growth in cycling, including a 150% increase in the number of cycles on the TLRN over the past 10 years.  Because of the decongestion and health benefits, getting more people to use bikes more often is generally accepted as a good thing to do.  But concerns have recently been raised about safety and whether continued investment in Central London is justified.

We have therefore assembled a panel of speakers to present their own viewpoints about cycling, and investment in cycling infrastructure, in London. We are sure that a lively debate will follow, so do come along and take part.
