TPS is pleased to announce the launch Transport Planning Day 2024.
See all the current vacancies.
Open to all those studying or working in transport planning, or related fields, on a professional basis.
The RTPI Networks have recently produced a discussion paper on the issue of Peak Oil and the implications for spatial planning. It aims to promote discussion, raise awareness among transport and spatial planners of the issues around peak oil and suggest an agenda for action by professionals.
We will be holding a discussion on this subject and would welcome your views to help us develop a greater understanding of the many aspects of Peak Oil and ways that planning professionals can ensure that the concept is properly taken into account in future planning. The discussion will be chaired by Chris Ferrary, former chair of the RTPI-TPS Transport Planning Network and Technical Director at Temple Group. Richard Blyth, RTPI Head of Policy and Practice will also be attending the discussion and David Strahan from Odac will provide an introduction to peak oil.
This discussion is free to attend. We would like to thank the Temple Group for their support in organising this discussion.
