Northumbria University - Rutherford Hall

This event will discuss the links between transport and health, focusing particularly on practical ways to promote active travel.  The event will explore the links between the emerging public health and transport policy agendas, and the potential for transport planners and public health professionals to work more closely together to deliver behaviour change.  Our speakers will also discuss innovative and practical approaches to engaging with people to encourage higher levels of walking and cycling in local areas.

The event will be chaired by Dr Seraphim Alvanides, a Reader in the Built Environment at Northumbria University.
