High Speed Rail – will it reduce carbon, promote UK plc and provide the extra rail capacity we need? Or will it soak up transport expenditure, do nothing for the environment, and provide capacity in the wrong places? Are both these viewpoints wide of the mark?

Come and hear different views and share your own thoughts at the TPS High Speed Rail Debate. We have invited speakers who are pro, anti and undecided, plus a view from the regions.

Confirmed speakers:

  • John Adams, Emeritus Professor, University College London
  • David Bull, Birmingham City Council
  • Stephen Joseph OBE, Campaign for Better Transport
  • Jim Steer, Steer Davies Gleave
