Arup have decided to adopt the TPS Professional Development Scheme, for their transport planners, bringing the total number of organisations using the Scheme to 19, including 13 of the 20 transport planning consultants in the New Civil Engineer’s Consultants File.

Chris Rooney, Arup Director and Head of the London Transport Consulting practice commented 'I am delighted to announce Arup’s decision to join the TPS Professional Development Scheme. Continuous professional development is extremely important and the PDS scheme complements our existing commitments to staff training. We are looking forward to working with the TPS to develop the scheme to ensure our transport planners gain a clear, structured career path to enable them to work to their full potential and achieve professional recognition.'

TPS Chair, Victoria Hills, said 'Arup’s decision to joining the Scheme is excellent news for the Society and for all the others now using it.  Already, nearly 150 transport planners are following it, providing them with the rounded development programme they need to obtain the TPP qualification, and that number is steadily growing.'
