See all the current vacancies.
Open to all those studying or working in transport planning, or related fields, on a professional basis.
On 24 November 2009, around 50 members gathered at the Institution of Civil Engineers in London for a joint event with the Independent Transport Commission to hear about and discuss a recent research project into long distance travel.
Following an interesting presentation by David Quarmby, a lively debate ensued, with David Bayliss chairing proceedings and author of the research Professor Joyce Dargay also on hand to answer those tricky questions on assumptions, scenarios and elasticities. There were lots of interesting comments and questions, all of which will help the ITC to finalise the research and to identify areas for further investigation.
We, and the ITC, would welcome any further comments from members, including those who were not able to attend on the night. David Quarmby’s presentation and script can be found below and we encourage you to contribute to the debate by clicking on the Discussion Forum.
