On 29 October joint winners 'North West MVA' took possession of the 2009 TPS National Quiz Trophy. 

For the first part of the year the trophy has resided with joint winners "where's the free buffet" in the East Midlands, but in her regional visit to the North West Region, coinciding with Journalist David Strahan's excellent Peak Oil lecture, Chair Victoria Hills presented the trophy to Captain Geraint Moore, and team mates Jon Crockett, Joe Charlesworth, John Lancaster and James Blythe (not pictured). 

MVA scored 52 points and are looking forward to defending the trophy at the 2010 TPS National Pub Quiz on 4 March.
