TfL is the sixteenth employer to adopt the TPS Professional Development Scheme.  The Scheme provides a structured development programme for all those starting a career in transport planning, as well as for those already within the profession wishing to obtain a broad range of skills. 

The Scheme also provides a pathway to the TPP qualification, helping candidates gain the competences required.

Martin Richards, TPS Director for Skills, welcomed TfL’s decision ‘although we now have 13 consultants with the Scheme, including ten of the NCE top twenty transport planning consultants, it is particularly encouraging that TfL has adopted it, joining Hampshire and Leicestershire as local authorities with the Scheme.  Our target is to increase its use within the public sector.’
