Andrew is with Transport Scotland, Nick and Graham are both with Mott Macdonald and Rob and David are both with Atkins.  Nick is a TPS Board member – and the Society’s Treasurer.

The Senior Route was created to provide a body of highly experienced transport planners to work as TPP Reviewers, Assessors and Mentors.  Candidates were required to demonstrate that they had both depth and breadth of experience and that they had made a substantial contribution to the profession over a period of time.

While the route was open – it is now closed – there were 58 applications, many in the last few weeks.

Martin Richards, TPS’ Skills Director, said “the creation of the Senior Route has been highly successful.  By the time all the applications have been assessed, we will have a good number, and variety, of senior transport planners willing to help in mentoring, assessing and reviewing TPP candidates.  What is particularly noticeable is how some organisations have clearly made a real effort to encourage senior staff to apply. Their commitment to, and their understanding of, the TPP qualification should be a real benefit for their staff planning to apply for TPP through the standard Professional Review route.”
