Colin is one of the worlds leading advisors on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). Awarded the TPS ‘2009 Transport Planner of the Year’ for his role in developing and delivering the Lagos BRT programme in Nigeria (which in the space of 18 months has 5th highest patronage of any BRT route in the World), Colin will outline the challenges and opportunities ahead for cities to grasp the BRT opportunity.

In addition to his involvement in several UK BRT programmes, Colin is currently leading World Bank projects in Accra (Ghana), Kampala (Uganda), Cebu (Philippines) and Lagos (Phase 2), and will present his insights into how the UK can learn from the development of BRT projects from across the globe.

This will undoubtedly be a thoughtful, insightful, inspiring and lively presentation and relevant to almost every transport practitioner here in the UK.  If you want to know more about what BRT really is, or are currently working on a BRT programme, thinking that BRT might form part of your future transport strategy, or just interested in understanding more about what life is like working in different cities and cultures then please come along.
