TPP Professional Reviews
The next set of TPP Professional Reviews will be in the week of 2 November, for which Portfolios of Evidence must be submitted by 2 October. 

The weeks for Professional Reviews in 2010 are 19 May and 1 November, with closing dates for the submission of Portfolios of Evidence 9 April and 1 October 2010.  Further information is available at www.tpprofessional.org.

The TPP Senior Route
Two more TPS members, Gillian Otlet and Stephen Wood, have been awarded the TPP qualification by the Senior Route.  Gillian is Head of the Welsh Assembly Government’s Transport Planning Unit in Cardiff, and Stephen is an Associate Director with Colin Buchanan and Partners, responsible for their Belfast office.
The period within which applications for the Senior Route can be made has been extended to 30 September. Any TPS member who satisfies the requirements, including being active within the profession, holding a position of responsibility within the field of transport planning, and able to demonstrate that they have a wide depth and breadth of experience and that they have made a substantial contribution to the profession over a period of time can apply.  They should contact Jennifer Allen, 0207 336 1579, Jennifer.Allen@IHT.org.

TPP for Academics
The TPP Professional Standards Committee is keen to provide a route to the qualification for university academic staff who are appropriately involved in transport planning, particularly through the delivery of transport Masters courses.  As a first step in assessing how academics can satisfy the TPP requirements, a small number of senior academics have been invited to apply through the Senior Route.

TPP Mentor Training
Following a well attended TPP Mentor training session in London in June, three more sessions are being held in Carlisle (13 October), Glasgow (18 September) and Manchester (25 September).  Anyone interested in attending, with a view to becoming a TPP Mentor, should contact Jennifer Allen, 0207 336 1579, Jennifer.Allen@IHT.org.
