WISE 1 of the Million Campaign

WISE will be launching its 1 of the Million campaign on Monday, 20 April. Over the course of launch week, they will  start putting a face to the million by featuring women whose work is directly related to the global fight against Covid-19.

You can help by:

• Contacting women you know whose work is directly related to the fight against Covid-19  or send  WISE their contact details and  they will get in touch
• Asking them to take part in the  1 of the Million campaign by taking a selfie with the  placard (attached)
• Asking them to share:

• Their name and job title
• How their work has been affected by the global pandemic
• Why they’re Proud to Be 1 of the Million women working in STEM in the UK
• A blog, if interested

Please send selfies and information  to  the WISE Marketing Officer, Amanda Clark, by noon on 17 April. If anything comes through after this date, do  still send it so that it may be used later in the campaign.

Using this information,  WISE would like to highlight these women on their  social media channels so that followers can see some of the personal faces behind the million women in STEM and fight against Covid-19.  By making these women visible, they not only want to recognise the important work they do, but inspire more women and girls to pursue their place in STEM.
