The CIHT ran a conference on the 26th February on Better housing: making it happen with speakers from DfT, MHCLG, Homes England, Highways England, Stantec, CIHT and Transport for New Homes.  The Advice that TPS was engaged in writing was the subject of one of the presentations. It was a very useful conference with all parties stressing the need for better integration, a recognition that current practice was not delivering the outcomes people wanted; leadership to change practice from transport planning practitioners was essential; and a move away from "predict and provide" was key to this as well as earlier collaboration between planners and transport planners.  All the presentations will be available on the CIHT web site for more information.
