Three early career professionals (Molly Hoggard, Marie Godward and Laura Brooks) have successfully been awarded funding from the Future Transport Visions Group (FTVG) to research gender equality within the transport industry. Please complete this survey to help them understand how the work that we do in transport could be more inclusive whilst being in with a chance to win a £100 charity donation to a charity of your choice! TPS is supporting this initiative as part of the Transport Planning Day Campaign on EDI.

TPD EMAIL BANNER 2021

The project aim is to:

Understand the extent to which a gender focus is currently incorporated in transport planning processes and how this can be improved, to achieve a more inclusive transport system.

This will be achieved by the following objectives:

  1. Understand how gender-disaggregated data is used in transport planning projects
  2. Understand the barriers and opportunities to incorporating a gender lens into transport planning projects
  3. Create recommendations and guidelines from the lessons learnt in objectives 1 and 2 into a usable toolkit

About Their Research

The research aim is to understand the extent to which a gender focus is currently incorporated in transport planning processes and how this can be improved, to achieve a more inclusive transport system. The goal of the research is to create a usable gender equality toolkit containing recommendations and guidelines which can be used by transport professionals to help design a gender inclusive transport system

If you have any questions or comments please get in touch with Molly Hoggard, Marie Godward or Laura Brooks
