RTPI representative on the Transport Planning Society Board

The RTPI is  currently seeking nominations from members who would like to be considered for the role of RTPI representative on the Board of the Transport Planning Society.

The RTPI is one of four organisations that formally support the TPS, the others being:

  • The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK)
  • The Institution of Civil Engineers
  • The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation

What's involved?

The representative will hold the post for a two-year period, and is expected to attend six TPS Board meetings a year, normally  in London, providing an important liaison role on behalf of the Institute.  There is a regular slot at the TPS Board meetings in which the RTPI representative is expected to give an update on the work of the RTPI.

What's expected of you?

The representative will be expected to feed back to the RTPI via a brief written report, which will be reported to the RTPI Planning Policy & Practice Committee.

About you

  • RTPI member
  • Experience in transport and land use planning
  • A strong commitment to planning and the RTPI's strategic objectives and vision
  • Ability and willingness to devote time to the role

The RTPI will reimburse all reasonable expenses associated with the role.
