'Gender on the Agenda: Making streets and public space work for everyone' will explore practical approaches to making public spaces and transport systems welcoming to all.
The event will be chaired by Natalie Draisin, Director of the North American Office and United Nations Representative for the FIA Foundation, an independent charity promoting road safety, the environment and sustainable mobility. As well as moderating the discussion, Natalie will be sharing her insights and first-hand experience of gender-related mobility and streetspace projects from Delhi to Washington DC.
Natalie will be joined by an excellent group of speakers who will explore topics including the involvement of young girls in decision-making processes and the creation of public space, the benefits of planning for local living, and how we can go about addressing the failures to consider women's needs and concerns around public transport.
