TPS West Midlands are hosting what promises to be a fascinating event on the Birmingham Transport Plan 2031 entitled, 'The new Birmingham Transport Plan and the challenges and opportunities ahead'.
Ioanna Moscholidou, Transport Planning and Investment Manager at Birmingham City Council, will provide an overview of the development of the Plan, exploring how it has responded to the shift in transport priorities.
The Birmingham Transport Plan 2031 (BTP) was adopted on 12th October 2021, and outlines how the city’s transport system needs to be transformed to meet the challenges of the next decade.
Developed over the past three years, the Draft Birmingham Transport Plan was published in January 2020 and put out for consultation from 28th January to 9th April 2020. The Emergency Birmingham Transport Plan was published in May 2020, responding to the government's emphasis on Active and Safe travel during the pandemic. Drawing together the outputs from the Draft BTP and the EBTP, the adopted Plan sets out how the city's transport system needs to be transformed to meet the challenges of the next decade. It responds to identified challenges and opportunities, and supports transforming the city centre.
Tickets are free. You can book your place here.
