This is part of a new series of blogs which will be published by TPS as part of the run up to Transport Planning Day 2021 on 15 November which is on the theme of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Transport (EDI). More details about the Campaign and Transport Planning Day are on the website at https://tps.org.uk/transport-planning-day-and-campaign/announcing-transport-planning-day-2021
We are inviting TPS members and their contacts to contribute blogs on the following topics.
1) who we are as an industry
2) who we engage with when developing policies and schemes
3) what we do - how we hardwire EDI as a key consideration into the policies and projects we deliver (e.g. development of technical standards, regulations, best practice guides, professional codes of conduct, CPD requirements, peer challenge etc).
If, like Stacey, you have an interesting story to tell about how you became a transport planner or have a job out of the ordinary we would love to hear from you.
Please send any contributions to info@tps.org.uk for review.
