PDS success for Transport ScotlandSophie mac

Many congratulations to Sophie Mackenzie from Transport Scotland who has successfully completed the PDS and can now use the post nominal IncTP. Transport Scotland has been a strong supporter of transport planning skills including recognition of the TPP (Transport Planning Professional) in procurement. It is part of the picture of growing PDS numbers, across private and public sectors, which achieved double figures for the first time last year and is on target to achieve at least 15 in 2023.

“I am exceptionally proud to have completed the TPS Professional Development Scheme. This scheme has structured my graduate learning to ensure I captured a broad range of transport planning skills at Transport Scotland and has put me in good stead for achieving the TPP in the future. I look forward to continuing my development and extend my skills in the field.”

Her mentor, Stephen Cragg, said:

“I was delighted when Sophie successfully completed the TPS Professional Development Scheme.  The PDS has provided Sophie with an excellent framework to develop the breadth and depth of skills needed on her journey toward being a Chartered Transport Planning Professional.”

"Congratulations to Sophie for her achievement, we welcome her to the growing community of transport planners who have completed PDS and can now also use the title Incorporated Transport Planner: IncTP.  It’s great to see the public sector working to support transport planning skills and we look forward to many more trainees following Sophie’s excellent example.”
